I am looking for stories in which either:
A character who is already a brick house gains some soft pillow-esque layers to them (lose of definition, not musculature).
A character who already feels/resembles a water bed gains some strength to their limbs (think sumo wrestler).
A character who is the opposite of both (small, frail, and thin) gets both to happen to them at once (pudding on top, diamond underneath).

I'm with you. I would like to see some more where a character either starts out muscular and gains weight in the stomach or gains all over but keeps her strong arms. I don't think it has been done too often so I can't recall any stories off the top of my head right now. But I would love to see more like this.

Not so much alone, but rather too specific. I like the idea of 'strongfat', but I dont remember any stories or transformations that exactly follow the examples you mention. There are some 'strongfat' TFs I've seen that end with a smaller female becoming a physically powerful yet equally fat character, though they dont fit into the specific desires you have.

For example, Mr DNA has his characters sometime engage in tfs that seem close, but none of his characters began as 'brickhouses'.

And about a decade and a half ago I had a part in the old-old SuperStories site (not the last one to go down, but the earlier one) where Marvel and DC characters were blending together due to some kind of 'cosmic collapse', and one of the combinations involved Wonder Woman and the Blob merging to become Diana Dukes aka Wonder Whale. She stayed a heroic and powerful figure, but was also a hugely fat woman with equally huge appetites for physical pleasures. That seems close, but...that site's been gone for ages. I didnt even have the chance to save any copies of my work.

So, does any of that interest you?

To make things clear for anyone reading this, the descriptions I wrote earlier where less specifics and more examples, less, "This needs to happen," more, "stories like this usual have these." As long as the character ends up both stronger and fuller by the end, I'll want to read it.

I think a big part is that this fetish genre tends to be disinterested in what the natural progression of fitness with age can look like. Not a criticism just an observation.

In reality, muscle does not in fact transform into fat when you cease exercising. Muscle is made of proteins, fat is made of lipids, and barring becoming EXTREMELY sedentary atrophy is a slowly progression condition.

Typically what happens is that fat gets put on over the muscle once a tightly restricted diet and intense fitness regime is relaxed. Chris Evans stated that he basically didn't eat bred the entire time he was playing Captain America.

Fat tends to also be put on more easily with age simply due to shifts in the metabolism or after a shift in hormones (such as pregnancy, menopause, or (eek!) castration). But generally with age it becomes hard to stay trim much more than it does to stay physical fit.

As you pointed out, the few people who look for this are not interested in the cause being natural ageing, and this does includes myself. For the record, I already knew that muscle doesn't turn into fat, in fact I don't know anybody who actually thinks that.

What I meant by chubuff treatment was someone who is already decently muscular getting more strength added to their limbs, but also gaining just as much softness to their torso, becoming huge all over in more ways than one. As for the cause, I'd prefer it be a result of this person going to far with their diet and their choice of workout not being able to compensate, or they start slacking off with their cardio training get a gut that way (child birth can be fine, but only it's handle well).
