Missing site about hair cuts?

Yes I know it's a little odd... Most people are just looking for single stories -- here I am looking for a whole site.

I recall way back there was a website with interesting hair cut stories on it -- authors such as Classic Cuts and C3PO. Sorry to be so vague, but if anyone knows the site I am talking about, does anyone know what happened to the site in question, it's authors and body of work?

I think you're referring to the Haircutiing Stories Site/ Hairsnip. It was closed down a few weeks ago. The owner had made some major changes to the site around the first of the year, which got a lot of negative reaction from the readers, as the changes made it very difficult to find stories (or authors) who had previously posted. The owner was upset by the criticism and decided to just shut the site down. I don't know if any of the stories have been saved to other sites. Last time I checked, there was nothing on The Wayback Machine either. It may be a situation similar to the intentional destruction of Forever Changing a few years ago, which led to the creation of this forum (thank you again for all your work, Theo!). Maybe the haircutting story fan equivalent of Theo will start up a new site, and some of the stories will be saved that way.

This is bad news indeed! I hated the new format too but to take the whole site down is nonsense! I am a C3PO fan too and I believe I saved many of his stories, so if anyone needs one I'll look through my files and try to find it.

Good news, people! The site has been revived. It's now at www.haircuttingstories.net. Most of the stories seem to be back up, including at least some of C3PO's. I'm glad that "The New Anchor"- my all-time favorite, is back. Also, the previous (pre-2015) search features are back, so you can actually find authors and stories again. No word yet as to when/if new stories will be posted.

I am so glad to see some version of the site has been restored... If they ever get it back up to speed where users can post on it; I might have to post a story to show my support for a wonderful site.

Actually I found an author by the name of orangenoise who reposted all of c3po's stories on the hair story network

There was also another website called oz durag that disappeared, they have intersting stories about Durag but luckily I was able to find them again. Sorry to be so vague, but if anyone knows the site I am talking about, does anyone know what happened to the site in question, it's authors and body of work?

I'm sorry to hear that you can't find the website you're looking for. It sounds like it had some great stories! Have you tried searching for the authors or titles of the stories? That might help you locate the website. It's also possible that the website is no longer active, but you may be able to find archived versions of the stories. You could also try reaching out to the authors directly to see if they know what happened to the website.
