Search Capabilities

I've tried using the search bar, and it seems like most words are "too common" to return any results. Are the parameters too tight on it? Example words are bimbo, ghost, and crazy. Just curious.

phpBB's search function is profoundly screwed up by default. I wish I could remember what I did to un-screw-up ForeverChanging's search bar so I could pass it on to Theo.

yes, it makes finding stories quite difficult.

using google -> site:http://www.thechangingmirror.com/ keyword

works okay but it''s not perfect. you used to be able to search with google using a "most recent" tool that was actually quite up to date but for some reason they removed it a couple of years ago.

That's a pretty good idea! You can still kind of sort by recency... just click on "search tools", then you can set the duration... which isn't the same, but close :|

Using Google is a good idea for now. I'll see about adding a better search to the site (I would also love to add a rating system for posts, but we'll have to see).
