Rules for offering to write for hire

Postby TheoW » Sat May 26, 2012 3:09 pm

As someone who has written a number of stories on commission, I'm not one to object to offering writing work. But I want to lay a few ground rules so everyone can be happy.

1: You have to already be active and posting on the forum to make an offer to write a story. You should have already posted a few stories so we can see what you write.

2: Don't spam the forum with posts offering your service. One every now and then will do.

3: Don't just respond to every story idea posted offering to write it.

4: Be clear on what you will or won't write.

    5: Above all, be friendly.

Mostly this is just to keep people from spamming the group trying to sell their services. It was never a problem before, so I doubt it will be again. I just want to have some basic rules outlined so we're all on the same page.

I am thinking of trying my luck and commissioned stories and wanted to know if I qualify in your eyes to be a hired writer here.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't offer to take story commissions. I say go for it.
