Prologue
After a chaotic year Cady Heron was at peace. The transfer student from Africa had managed to navigate the world of high school teenage drama and managed not to lose herself, the plastics were no more and seemed happier for it and she was knocking it out of the park with both the Mathletes and her budding relationship with Aaron.
Cady Heron was happy and had found where she belonged.
...
“Good hussle today ladies,” A womanly but masculine like voice shouted from an office as the lacrosse team began to undress, shower and dress back into their regular clothes.
“Good hustle Regina.” “SMACK”
“Great hustle” SMACK.
“You are awesome girl,” “SMACK”
Regina George’s face fought to not turn bitchy as she felt both feminine and masculine hands slap her perfect ass. It was only a couple of months ago that the very idea that these lesser women would dare touch her perfection would send a wave of fear throughout the student body.
Well former perfection. While Regina had healed, she still had small bouts of pain from being hit by that bus and while she did heal, her body structure was slightly altered, again nothing serious, but it was again another blemish on someone who once considered themselves perfect.
Regina wasn’t happy, she didn’t belong here.
Of course the real damage wasn’t what happened to her body, but to her status. Regina ruled this school at one point, well at least until that bitch Cady Heron came along at the beginning of the year. Regina was so gracious to let the naive girl into her group and she repaid her by sabotaging her weight and trying to steal her boyfriend, well ex boyfriend, but that was beside the point.
“Ugh that bitch ruined everything,” Regina bemoaned to herself as she walked with a duffle bag in hand and strutted to her convertible. Slipping into her seat she stared at herself in the rearview mirror for a few moments and sighed.
“Maybe I just need to let things go, I can’t change the past and high school is almost over,” Regina once again spoke to herself.
“HOW BORING AND PREDICTABLE,” A booming voice from nowhere rang into Regina’s ears startling the attractive blonde.
“Who said that,” Regina said looking around in a fury, beginning to feel a mixture of anger and fear, but she received no response.
Regina was oblivious as was the rest of the world as reality seemed to shimmer and warp. The first alteration was not noticeable as Regina lost a little of her youth but not much. The blonde blossomed and shifted slightly as her breasts grew a cup size and her body took on a more curvaceous and mature form. Unknown to Regina and everyone else, everyone involved in her life over the last year was aging by two years, almost as if some force was making sure that all characters involved were 18 or older , even so tweaks, historical rewrites and other reality shifts made sure the last year pretty much happened as Regina had previously remembered.
The newly minted 18 year old blonde may not have noticed her changes, but the next shift in reality happened as a flat surface smacked into her perfect face.
“WTF” Regina groaned as she held her face, shocked from the sudden impact. It took a few moments before she was able to open her eyes and another moment to check in a pocket mirror that her beauty was OK.
It was a couple minutes later, before Regina finally noticed what had struck her and what she saw shocked her. It wasn’t that the object was unfamiliar but it was all too familiar, the pink cover, the cut out letters and the pencil scribbles, there was no doubt this was the infamous Burn Book, the book that ultimately led to her downfall.
Annoyance instantly came over Regina’s face. The blonde was not impressed by the obvious prank, the Burn Book was destroyed, clearly someone was still reveling in her downfall.
Regina reached for the book prepared to leave it in the parking lot, but as her dainty fingers wrapped around the cover, an almost electric feeling overwhelmed her. Shocked both physically and literally Regina dropped the book confused by the strange power that she felt. Trying to put it out of her head Regina drove home.
Ignoring her family, Regina with Burn Book in hand went up to her room. A place that that had become her safe haven during her recovery and social unseating. As if trying to prove that her feeling was just some strange hallucination Regina finally opened the book that ruined her life.
Besides the book’s pristine condition, Regina noticed two things different. First every rumor that she and her friends had written was gone and outside of all the blank pages, the first page had a short note in it.
“Just simply write how things should be and they shall be, have fun ”
There was not even a signature and Regina was a bit creeped out, but even so she was also intrigued. After losing it all there were many things that Regina wanted, she wanted her control of North Shore High back, she wanted Gretchen and Karen back, she wanted Aaron back, she wanted revenge on Cady.
Regina wanted a redo, she wanted her perfect year.
It was getting late and Regina was getting tired, but at the same time after the strange event of this evening she needed peace of mind and to put this prank to rest.
“The events of this past year didn’t happen, in fact tomorrow is the first day of the new school year,” Regina’s dainty hand gilded her pen over the second page of the Burn Book. She giggled slightly to herself as she drifted off to sleep.
