"Young lady, I'm not gay." Jean glares.

"Then how come ever since Emma went off to Japan, you haven't stepped foot at the diner?"

Jean shrugs.

"I got a little tired of it, that's all."

Rachel laughs.

"You are so easy to read, Mom! Just... you can't be with Emma, okay? Auntie Mariko..."

"Auntie?" Jean glares.

"Yes, Auntie." Rachel sighs. "Mari and I were close. And she was a great person and when she died, it destroyed Emma. She doesn't need someone like you in your life."

"What does that mean?!" Jean huffs.

"You know exactly what I mean." Rachel shakes her head. "..."
