Moms and their Daughters: Superhero Addition - The Justice-Avengers

Parent Chapter

(Venice Beach, 20 years ago)

"Frost's Cafe?" A young Japanese woman, her head resting in a blonde's lap, pitches as the sun sets on a warm summer's evening.

Emma giggles.

"How creative." Emma says sarcastically.

Mariko, her girlfriend, playfully slaps her on the elbow.

<"Be nice."> She grins in Japanese.

Emma laughs.

<"Darling, it's me we're talking about. That's the sweetest I could possibly be. You should know that by now if we're rasimg a child together." Emma places a hand on Mariko's exposed belly.

At a distance, Jean, with several members of the Justice Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, sits by the bonfire, beside her husband, with a sour expression on her face.

"What's with red?" Harley Quinn, roasting a marshmallow, asks her girlfriend, getting a back rub from her boyfriend, Deadpool.

"You know what's going on with Jean." Pam rolled her eyes. "So either give me a kiss or finish making that s'more."

Harley did both!

"Are you really okay with moving to Japan?" Mariko asks.

"It's not like I'm close with my family." Emma points out. "The closest thing I have are the M-Men, And even then more them think I'm a bitch."

"I wonder why?" Mariko giggles.

Emma hoists her girlfriend up, wraps her arms around her waste, and gives her a light peck on the cheek.

"And I wonder why I fell for someone like you?" Emma smirks.

"I feel the same way." Mariko nods.

"I love you, Mari. I wanna grow old with you... I, I never thought I give up the cape for anyone till I met you."

Mari smiled.

"Till death?"

"Of course." Emma smiled.

<"It cane be that bad."> The Daughter of Wolverine, raised by a plump blonde nervously tapping her pudgy belly wrapped in a white top, dismissed in Japanese.

"The Headmistress hates my guts. I don't know why... Well, I do know why, your mother was notorious bitchy in her youth."

Yumiko giggles.

Emma sighs, knowing her daughter thinks the implied notion she got less bitchy with age is ridiculous!

<"The point is, it's a staff of fat has beens who all dislike me. But Jean? She hates me with every fiber of her being! I can't believe she hired me!">

"Maybe she'll torture you till you quit?" Yumi grinned. She didn't really like moving to America. But her Mom needed the move. After Mari died, it was just too painful to stay in Tokyo.

"I just really hope she'll go easy on me." Emma frowned. "It's been a pretty shitty year, I don't think I deserved to be kicked while I'm already down."

  1. But that's exactly what Jean does!
  2. Jean is actually very nice when she greets Emma. Too nice.
  3. Something else
