Avengers: Cute Daughters and Overbearing Moms - The Avengers have saved the day
General Peggy Carter glowered at the front page of the newspaper: "Avengers Saves World."
"Hiyah, Moms," Captain America said as cartwheeled into the room. Steve Carter's blonde pigtails and cheerleader-style skirt twirled as she did a pirouette.
"Have you seen the newspaper?" Peggy asked as she heaved herself to her feet.
"Yeah!" Steve said. "We saved the world!"
"And that little brat Bryce Wayne is featured front and centre while you're off to the side!" The feared, "ball-busting" middle-aged director of SHIELD glowered at Stevie. "I thought I told you to make sure you're the most prominent hero in all the pictures!"
Stevie wrinkled her nose in confusion. What was her mom about now? She thought she did a good job.
"Sorry, Mama," Stevie muttered.
"Sorry isn't enough! You promised me you'd work harder!"
It was the case with all of the Avengers. It was a team entirely composed of teen girls, each one with an incredibly overpowering mother obsessed with her daughter's fame and success, vicariously living through her daughter's celebrityhood.
Just like Toni Stark's.
"Young lady, I just read that interview you did!"
Toni rolled her eyes in annoyance as she lay on her body in her opulent bedroom. "Yeah, Mom?"
"Come down here and talk about it!"
- Who is Toni's mom?
- Stevie argues with Mommy Peggy
- She gripes in her room to her BFF
- How is Thor doing?
- Something else
