Heroes Wishes Granted (Marvel Version) - Jean finds someone else's box first..

Parent Chapter

The world that shaped around felt familiar, yet different. This was of a life she had never known, yet when the sounds entered her ears, the visions perceived within her eyes, and the touch became her own, this was of a person Jean felt a connection to.

"They're coming for us." A Green skinned girl panicked from a closest while trembling and holding an umbrella with her dainty hands. She was beautiful, with variations of blue as feathers for her hair and yellow eyes that channeled deep within her soul.

"We'll be okay." A boy with a Scottish accent assured while taking a puff from his bowl. "Angie, I'm not going to let anyone hurt you..."

And then her cries echoed in Jeans head as soldiers dragged the screaming girl from the Scott's bedroom.

"Welcome to my Hell." The Scot mumbled as the the morning sun rose and the Green Skinned girl faded into obscurity.

"Who are you?" Jean asked.

"Can't remember..." The Scot sighed. "I just know I'm being punished."

Jean took a heavy breath. Was Lorna being punished? The thought terrified her.

"Can you help me?" Jean asked kindly. "I'm looking for my wife."

The Scot laughed painfully and began to sob uncontrollably. He then shrieked at the top of his lungs and gave the middle aged woman an icy stare.

"If you haven't noticed, I can't exactly leave this bloody prison!"

"I'm sorry."

"Not your fault. I made this place. I couldn't protect my best friend... Those fucking bigots dragged her into the street and shot her dead. Angie... She deserve that kind of cruelty."

Jean placed her hand on the teen's yellow jumper (sweater) and tugged him up.

"You don't deserve this cruelty either."

The Scotsman laughed.

"Says who, some middle aged version of Jean Grey?"

"You know who I am?" Jean raised an eyebrow.

"Course, everyone knows who Jean Grey is. You're the reason the Human's First Intiative happened... All those poor mutants, it's appalling to think what humanity is capable of."

"I'm looking for my wife. You can join me. Hopefully, we'll find your Angie too."

"I don't know if she'd ever want to see me. I failed her..."

"From what I saw, you fought to the very end. And they shot you for being loyal to your friend." Jean touched his chest, which had several bullet wounds.

The Scot laughed again.

"Funny, you don't sound like the Jean Grey I was use to. You're a bit nicer and ya kind of remind me of my mum."

"Well, I am a mom." Jean smiled.

"Fer fuck sake, why wasn't my world's Jean Grey a lesbian?"
