All Mutants Weak and Vulnerable - The virus spreads, transforming mutants

The scientist smiled grimly and unleashed the virus into the air. The figure had long thought of the dangers of the Mutant Menace, how the power and violence of mutants put all regular humans in peril. Something needed to be done. Mutants needed to be stopped. However, the scientist wasn't comfortable killing anyone, and somehow all the attempts to simply remove mutant powers hadn't worked. So the scientist had devised another solution. Had created a virus that would mutate the mutant gene. Soon it would spread all over the world, and all mutants exposed would find themselves getting weaker -- their bodies shrinking, their strength ebbing -- their minds would change so that they would have such a hard time concentrating on anything important, all willpower and self-discipline gone. They would find it very hard to threaten anybody, especially humans. In fact, they would find it very hard to disagree with anything a human tells them. Yes, soon mutants would not be a danger to humans. In fact, they would be forced to depend upon humans themselves.
