Hi, I am a huge fan of F2F race change and agree it's quite rare, unfortunately.
One that immediately comes to mind is Julian Sorel's classic High Cost of Tanning (the heroine gets too dark at a tanning salon and is mistaken for a native girl during vacation, leading to a permanent change) -- http://www.asstr.org/files/Authors/Juli ... anning.txt

Un-learning of one's cultural background. In that particular case, the heroine was gradually becoming a barely literate village girl, who could only speak heavily-accented English. This way she could match her new station in life.

Thank you very much. I've never heard of her before, but sounds like a transformation story coming to life! If people can change their gender, then why can't they change their race or ethnicity? Or even become animals? I am suspecting we'd be seeing more and more of this as modern surgical tecnniques become more and more advanced (and less life-threatening). I would be following Martina's transformation with baited breath now. She is less than half way there as now she still looks like a European woman who just painted her skin black. If she indeed wants to go all the way (change her facial features, maybe try to sounds "black" etc) it will be very exciting to follow. She's also given me some ideas for a race change story, I was actually looking for a realistic method of skin color change.
