Barefoot and Pregnant By MrGrey

Kristen walked quickly through the echoing halls. She pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose with her index finger as she scooted past a pair of women gazing at an pottery exhibit. The box she held in her hands had just been dropped off and she needed to carry it to the basement to open it. The reason she was walking so fast was because this box was supposed to have arrived over two hours ago. She had to prepare the materials for a ceremony this afternoon.

Kristen stopped dead in her tracks to yell at two young boys who were attempting to reach over roped border around a pottery exhibit. "Excuse me!" she said sternly. The two boys snatched their hands back as if they had touched fire. Kristen kept walking, her head still hanging low. The two boys scowled at the woman in the business suit strutting by them. "What a bitch..." they muttered.

Although it was true she could be a bitch, Kristen was actually very shy. If you ever wonder what happens to the girl in your high school science class that never talked to anyone, got straight A's yet never participated in anything, she becomes what Kristen became. She's the curator for the city museum.

Checking her watch for the third time in fifteen minutes, Kristen finally reached the door to the basement. The small box was getting heavy in her arms. Shoving the door open with her shoulder, she made her way down the dark stairs. The dusky smell of ancient artifacts hung in the air. A single light bulb on a wire hung from the ceiling, and dancing back and forth after Kristen yanked on its chain, illuminating the basement with a bare minimum of light.

Kristen dropped the sealed box on a table under the light. Catching her breath, she looked around the room for the crowbar. She found it sitting on the floor, where it didn't belong. With a sigh, she picked it up and positioned it under the box's lid. With one swift push, the lid popped off and fell to the floor, breaking the still silence, causing Kristen to jump. Composing herself, she looked inside the box.

She knew what was in here. No matter how many mysterious boxes she opens, she never gets bored with this. She felt like a kid on Christmas morning. She began to pull the packing material out of the box, dropped it to the floor. Pulling a large chuck of material out of the box, Kristen screamed.

A stone face stared back at her from the box.

She stepped backwards, unconsciously biting her nails. She had heard rumors about a curse that this statue had on it. An old Aztec tale about a hunter who was turned into one of the wolves he hunted had circulated around the museum community. The statues frozen glare wasn't helping ease Kristen's nerves, but if she listened to every curse story that she heard, this museum would be empty.

Kristen took a deep breath and reached into the box to pull the statue out. What surprised her was how warm it was. Must've been packed pretty tightly, though Kristen. She held the statue up and placed it on the table.

It sat on a square base, like a goblet. The bald head's mouth hung open in a permanent moan. Kristen ran her finger across the surface of the head, admiring how smooth it was.

"Ow!"

Kristen snatched her hand back and immediately placed it in her mouth, sucking on the throbbing pain. She must have hit a crack or a sharp edge. Kristen pulled her finger from her mouth and examined it. A droplet of blood sat on the tip of her index finger. She sucked her finger some more, staring at the frozen statue. A chill ran through as she felt that the statue was staring back at her...

She looked back at her finger to see the blood as stopped, but what was strange was that she couldn't even see a mark where she had been cut. It didn't even hurt anymore, like nothing had even happened.

Kristen shrugged her shoulders and walked back up the stairs to prepare the exhibit for grand opening ceremony.

As Kristen climbed the stairs, she was being watched. Under the swinging light bulb, the statue's eyes began to glow a bright gold. Kristen slammed the door shut behind her as the glowing eyes faded away.

* * *

"No, it should be taller!" she shouted to a man on ladder, hanging a fake sun. "Higher!" The man did as he was told. Kristen stood to the side and shouted orders to her young employees. The Aztec exhibit was going to be unveiled in a few hours and Kristen hated finishing things just in time. "Come on, guys. Let's get this thing done," she commanded modestly.

Kristen was the perfect boss. She wasn't confident enough to really exert her power. But, people generally liked her, so they never really gave her any trouble.

"Kristen!"

Kristen turned around to see Carol, one of her co-workers and friends running towards her. "What?" she asked as Carol stopped in front of her, catching her breath.

"Did that statue come yet?"

"Yes, it's in the basement," Kristen answered in a girllyvoice. She cleared her throat.

"You all right?"

Kristen nodded, coughing into her hand, "Yes, of course. I don't know... I've felt a little strange during the past hour."

"You think you're coming down with something?" Carol asked, putting her hand on Kristen's forehead.

"No, I'm fine, Carol, thank you." She waved Carol's hand away from her forehead, insisting that she was fine. "Anyway, as I was saying... It's in the basement, but don't bring it up yet. Let's save that for last so nobody sees it."

Carol nodded. She told Kristen to meet her for lunch in an hour. Kristen agreed and the two parted ways.

Kristen figured she needed some time to relax. She told her crew that she would be in her office, and that they had the plans to follow, and to come get her if they had any questions, but "it had better be important". Kristen's office was covered in beautiful works of art from the likes of Dali, Van Gogh, and Jackson Pollock. Her bookcase was stacked with copies of Kurt Vonnegut books, a collection of John Donne poetry, and several copies of Jane Eyre, Kristen's favorite book.

Kristen collapsed at her desk and put her head down. She pulled out the newspaper and began to flip through it. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't find anything interesting. Maybe she was coming down with something...

"Oh, those are cute..." she said out loud.

She didn't even realize it, but had begun to glance through the ads and had found a really cute top and skirt set on sale. Once she realized what she was looking at, what she was holding her interest, she shoved the paper off of her desk.

This was getting ridiculous. Something was wrong with her. This wasn't her. Kristen hated women that lived off of department store sales. It was just too...domestic. Kristen was not that type of woman. So why was she suddenly seeing it in a new light. Kristen found herself fantasizing about hearing her husband walking through the door from work in the evening while she was bent over a kitchen sink in her bare feet...

Fuck fuck fuck!

This was wrong! I'm not married! she scolded herself, I don't even want to get married. She never has. Dating just never was her thing. Yet here she was, imagining how wonderful it would be to sit in front of a TV, watching soaps, eating chocolate when she was supposed to be dieting...pregnant...

This last thought kicked her out of her chair.

Kristen rushed into the bathroom, flipped on the light, turned on the cold water, flung her hands under the icy stream and immersed her face in it. She stared at herself in the mirror. She looked at her short brown hair, the beaded necklace she was wearing, her thin framed glasses...her blue eyes...

Hadn't they been brown?

Kristen squinted at the mirror, then shook her head, convinced she was getting sick.

She looked at the clock.

It was almost lunch.

* * *

"...I mean, I had no idea that Yellowstone was the site of such a dangerous volcano. If that thing went off, we'd all be toast..." Carol rambled on. The two women sat in the museum cafeteria, picking at salads. "So, what's been going on with you?"

Kristen had no idea how to answer that. Instead, she changed the subject, "You want to go see a movie?"

Carol shrugged her shoulders, "Is there anything out?"

Kristen thought, "Well, that new Sandra Bullock movie looked good."

Carol almost choked on a crouton. "What?" she asked in disbelief, then started laughed, figuring that Kristen was just kidding. "If I wanted to watch some sappy romantic comedy, I'd just call my mother and ask her. Seriously, Kristen..."

Kristen turned red, embarrassed at what an idiot she was. Of course, Carol wouldn't want to see that movie. She was way too smart for that. But, when Kristen had seen the ad for it in the newspaper it had looked so good. Sandra Bullock had a figure to die for! She figured that's why she was getting all the good looking celebrity men. Kristen was so jealous. She'd give anything to be that beautiful...

"Kristen!" Carol yelled. Kristen snapped back to attention, realizing that Carol had been trying to get her attention for some time now. The waiter was standing in front of them asking if they'd like anything else.

Oh. My. God.

Kristen couldn't believe how unbelievably gorgeous this guy was. The dark, wavy hair, the broad shoulders, the dreamy smile... It was her dream man! She immediately wanted to have his babies. Just start a family right away. She'd quite her job and just stay at home to raise the kids. Then, after the kids went to bed at night, she'd be his loyal wife, serving him food and performing any sexual favors he wanted...

"Kristen! Please!" Carol called again.

Kristen cleared her throat, "Oh, um, excuse me..." She couldn't help but smile. She also couldn't make eye contact with this guy for the life of her. It was like looking into the sun. A small giggle escaped Kristen's mouth. Carol continued to watch with horror while the waiter shook his head, used to this type of reaction from single women. "I, uh... I'm fine..." she finally answered. The man nodded politely and started to walk away, but Kristen quickly called him back, "Oh! Um..." He turned back to the strange woman, who seemed a little shy, "Are you, um, doing anything tonight by any chance?"

Carol's jaw dropped. She rolled her eyes, "I have to get going." Carol grabbed her purse, through a few dollars on the table and left the cafeteria, leaving the giggling Kristen with the cute waiter.

* * *

It was amazing.

It just seemed to happen by itself in a matter of hours.

Kristen stared at her reflection in the mirror. Her hair had magically turned blonde. She picked at it, the finally shrugged her shoulders and walked back into her office. She had been reading a copy of People magazine that she had picked up at the news stand. She had gotten it because Brad Pitt was on the cover. He was so sexy. Kristen had stared at him for what seemed like eternity before she had finally opened the magazine and begun to flip through it. She found she couldn't really focus on any articles for too long, so she mostly just looked at the pictures.

"Kristen! Kristen!"

Kristen looked up at the urgent voice calling her from outside her office. She quickly shoved the tabloid magazine under her desk and stood up.

One of her interns was standing outside her door. The girl very surprised to see her, "Kristen?"

Kristen nodded.

"What did you do to your hair?"

Kristen shrugged.

"Anyway..." the girl said, a little confused, "We're ready to unveil the Aztec statue..."

Kristen didn't respond.

"You didn't forget about it did you?"

Kristen stared at the girl for a moment until her head was finally cleared of wondering how to make better tasting pot roast. "Oh yeah!" she replied. The intern was a little surprised by Kristen's overly girly and perky voice. Kristen giggled at how silly she was, "I completely forgot about that...thing. Alright, I'm on my way."

The intern rolled her eyes and stomped off.

Kristen looked at herself in the mirror one last time. "Hmmm..." she said to her reflection, a little confused as to why her outfit had changed into a tight fitting yellow blouse and denim short skirt. Kristen wasn't sure, but she swore that her breasts had grown... Her hair was pulled into a ponytail and her beaded necklace had turned into a white pearl necklace.

She looked like a porn version of June Cleaver...

Kristen shrugged her shoulders, as she had been doing a lot lately, and walked out of her office.

* * *

"Ladies and gentlemen, it took a lot of fighting to get this piece to our humble museum..."

Kristen stood to the side, wondering when this boring thing would be over. American Idol was coming on tonight so she wanted to hurry home to catch it. Her thoughts were filled with fantasies of cooking and cleaning, barefoot and pregnant, while her studly man sat in the living room and drank beer and watched football. She almost didn't want to fight this fantasy any longer, it made her so happy!

"...discovered, among other stone tools and pottery, buried in the ground..."

Kristen stared around the room. She wondered if she let her hair grow out. This boyish cut she had now was too...something. She just couldn't put her figure on it, but she didn't want to be so prudish anymore. It's funny how she had never thought of herself as that, but it was true! She was a prude! Kristen was so disappointed in herself...

"...so we are now happy to present to you, our Aztec collection!"

Kristen was relieved to hear that this ceremony was coming to a close. She watched as her crew dropped the curtain in front of the exhibit and—

Suddenly, Kristen knew exactly what was going on.

There sitting in the middle of designed pottery and other various artifacts, was the stone head. It was looking right at her! Kristen held her breath as fear spread through her body. She looked down at herself. She couldn't believe what she was wearing! She looked like some soccermom trying to cheat on her husband with the coach. This wasn't her!

It was the curse.

Everything was coming back to Kristen now. The hunter. The wolf. Amist the flashing cameras and "oo-ing" and "aww-ing" crowd, Kristen started to understand what she had been oblivious to this whole time. The stone turned you into what you hated. What you despised. The story about the hunter was about him turning into the wolf that he hated and killed. Now, Kristen was turning into what she hated: Some oversexed, simple, lazy housewife.

"And now to tell us all about the Aztec tribe and our new additions to the museum, our curator—Kristen White!"

It was true. Kristen couldn't remember the things that had defined her before. What was her favorite movie? She had thought it was Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal... But that wasn't true was it? What was it? Weekend at Bernie's...? That movie was so funny!

No! No! This can't be! The cameras turned to her horrified face. Everyone coaxed her to head up to the microphone and spread her wisdom to the crowd. Kristen shook her head almost in tears. They didn't understand. They didn't know what was happening to her. She had to get to a doctor. Quickly! Quickly! Before it's too late—

Hey, its the waiter...

Kristen suddenly forgot what she was thinking about as she smiled back at the nice young man...

* * *

"Oh yes! Fuck me! Fuck me!" Kristen screamed under the twenty-something boy.

After showing what an idiot she was to the whole crowd, Kristen went home with her new boyfriend, David. After he got off work at the museum cafeteria, he had taken her out to a nice restaurant. He had paid for her, opened the door for her... He had even ordered for her! What a gentlemen! She hardly had to do anything for herself! He knew just how to treat a lady...

"Oh God! I want to have your babies! Fill me with your cum! Get me pregnant! I want to be a mommy!"

Kristen didn't even remember anything about the statue anymore. She had almost realized everything in time, but it was too late for her. The curse had taken her mind too far, and now she was stuck. She would forever be a simple, domestic little housewife.

After quitting her job, Kristen did end up getting pregnant. She stayed at the house, watching daytime talk shows, waiting for David to come home everyday. Most of Kristen's time was now spent cooking and cleaning. She clipped coupons, she went grocery shopping, she read parenting books on how to have the perfect child...

Her family was the most important thing to her.

Kristen was always sure to satisfy David in bed. She wore whatever he wanted. After all, he was the one doing all the work all day. Kristen had to repay him anyway that she could for taking care of her. What's a woman to do without her man?

Years later, Kristen and David were still married. She had her fifth child last month! David loved how her tits grew every time he impregnated her, and Kristen loved how he loved it!

"You like these big titties! Full of milk for your babies!" she would scream in bed, on her back, while her white tits rippled back and forth. "Fuck your wife! Fuck this housewife!"

Yes, Kristen got just what she wanted. She smiled to herself one night while she doing the dishes. She had her floral apron on, cut short on her thighs, just the way David liked it! She could feel the cold tiles of the kitchen floor on her barefeet. After each dish was cleaned, she would rub her stomach.

Kristen was in heaven: barefoot and pregnant.

Thanks so much, and I'm glad to help...but it's all so frustrating. I KNOW there was another "...well spent" story that I can't seem to find (but might turn up) as well as a joint '...and the Stone' and 'Mental Pills' story that involved the mysterious protagonists working with each other, using previous victims and all wrapping up in a bar, I think. I can't seem to find it. I'm going to start searching some on the old (and all but dead) YahooGroups and see if one of them are hidden away.

Added the unfinished one with the stone and the pills, but I only remember 4 of the "...well spent" stories. The orignal "An Afternoon Well Spent", "An Afternoon Spent at the Gym", "An Evening Well Spent" and "Another Afternoon Well Spent" each of them seems to be already here. If there was a fifth could you tell me all that you remember about it please?

I'm so glad someone had copies of some of these! Mr Grey just sort of bolted from the internet in 2005 sending 'delete my stories' messages to various board moderators. In the rush to get as many of his tales saved as I could before zero-hour, I forgot a couple...and that was line of them. Rereading the post suggests to me that THAT may have been all he wrote, and I was muddling his unfinished story and my own attempts to wrap the tale up. I'm certain there was some other '..well spent' story, but it's possible it was something a fan of his did. I think it was posted on the old Dark Fantastic site, but if so....then it's lost forever.

I have everything from the MrGrey Yahoo user group if that helps. Including the joint Pill / Stone stories.

I do know there was a Ms. Grey sub series that was written and posted to MCStories by what appears to have been Mr. Grey's girlfriend at the time which had a Christmas bimbofication tale and 3 stories about the Omnipotent Mr. Grey and his new wife, and then their daughter. I think I have those saved and you can find them via the Wayback Machine.
