Server Upgrade

In the last few months the site has really been straining the limits of the current hosting server, which resulted in slowdowns on page loads, sometimes failures and seemed to be the cause of the occasional corrupted table. After talking with my hosting company we've been upgraded to a more power server with far more room to grow.

The upside of this is the site should be more stable and responsive, so better for everyone involved. This does increase the cost of running the site a bit, and in the past some people have asked about donating to help support the site.

I'm wondering Theo if you've considered switching to a more modern forum software. phpBB is really outdated compared to some others like Xenforo. It even still lets you put ICQ numbers in your profile.

It would also allow for viewing threads on mobile in a much more user friendly way. I'd imagine a huge chunk of users do primarily browse the site via mobile.
