I'm not sure I understand what's going on now, is the curse based on the brother's observations like the locker room scene, or is it based on proximity? Why did Nina change without Jordan around?

if I fully explain this it will spoil the story, but I will say that Jordan only thinks he understands how things work, consider it a mystery for now,

Interesting twist and character introduction. So we have twins, one of which is cursed, a witch (?) being transformed by some force--possibly not having to do with the cursed twin, and someone with mind control powers set to wreak havoc on the school where these characters attend.
