Parent Chapter

"Wanna sit down and get a coffee? Feel like I haven't seen you in a couple lifetimes. Might be nice to catch up a lil,'" Rogue said, her eyes scanning Emma's bloated body.

Emma knew she should say no - it was quite obvious what Anna Marie was insinuating - but after the fight she had just had with Jean the attention was...nice. The redhead hadn't talked to Emma since the fight, which had been a couple days ago. A little coffee with Anna Marie wouldn't hurt anyone.

"That sounds very nice, Anna. Want to go to the lounge?" Emma asked, gesturing down the hallway.

The two sat down on a cozy loveseat, sipped their coffee and reminisced about the "good ole' days" - back before they were old, married, and parents.

"I have a few younger gals I like to keep around, but nothing too serious," Anna Marie explained. She lazily extended her arm around Emma's shoulders, pulling the woman closer. Emma didn't rebuke - if anything she welcomed the touch.

"But you're beautiful, Rogue! You should have already found your soulmate."

Anna Marie smiled softly. "Well, you see, I think I already did." She placed a worn hand on Emma's thigh and gripped it softly.

"Now, Rogue..." Emma began, recognizing that she might have let things get a little too far.

Rogue ignored Emma's protests and leaned in, almost kissing her. Of course, Jean took that moment to waddle into the lounge, covered in sweat, hands bracing her back. She stood there for a moment, staring at the two past lovers, before simply turning around and walking out the door.

Emma immediately jumped off the loveseat, racing after her wife. Anna Marie tried to stop her, but Emma was insistent this time.

"Sugah' you're too good for her! She treats you like dirt. Take a break!" Anna Marie called.

Emma turned to look at her, bleary eyed and in a rage. "Are you fucking kidding me? A break?! We have four kids, Anna - with another on the way! She's my wife! I love her - we're not just going to break up because...because of you!"
